You're Worth the Effort
What you put into yourself matters most—the rest may often follow
Upon reevaluating what matters lately, I’ve realized more effort should go into spreading my message, once initially shared. I hate marketing, but this truth needs more reach.
Now, of today’s concept, you might already be aware—
Yes?
Still, I’m shocked by how many people I’ve met who don’t seem to recognize their worth or potential as the intelligent, evolving beasts that they are.
I don’t always understand it, but they have no clue how precious they can be!
They’re so engulfed in the stresses and horrors of life, in endless worries and responsibilities, that it slips right past them.
So long as they find an outlet for their pain, nothing else matters.
Or on the other end of the spectrum, maybe they’re too pleased and comfortable where they are, and they don’t know the stagnation is the cause of an all new anxiety they found.
They have NO CLUE how precious they are.
And so I ask myself, reader—do you know you’re precious?
This isn’t about your uniqueness, though that’s also notable—more possible configurations for the human brain than there are stars in the known universe?
That’s insane!!
You can have all the identical aspects of another brain and still be wired in billions of different orders which change everything, then repeat this process for every variation of experiences, thoughts, beliefs—
I said this ISN’T about your uniqueness.
You should know how I believe in you. Not in the generic, “everyone can grow into their best self” kind of way, but all capped, as in “EVERYONE CAN GROW INTO THEIR BEST SELF, JA HEAR?”
The game might be set differently against you in infinite different ways, but in your circumstances there’s a formula, a set of actions you can take to reach a version of yourself you and the world can more greatly appreciate—whether this relates to success towards your goals in life, or simply being more resilient to all life throws at you— in either which case, you’re worth going all the way.
Because every moment counts.
This applies for yourself, and for every other living being on Earth, be they human, animal, vegetation, extraterrestrial, mythic—
Who knows what exists in between wavelengths detectable by our instruments!!!
I’m getting off track.
Every experience of life matters, which is a fact you can work with, as a decision-making human being.
No one intends shallow breaths. It’s not a choice at childhood to become addicted to television programming. Your high-school murderer never planned to be so consumed with frustration and hate that they exterminated their bullies themselves.
Maybe these examples don’t scale most smoothly.
But had someone taught them of their value on Earth, and how to improve themselves in a way that reached their hearts so they would more likely become who they’re meant to be—the deep breather boosts their mental and emotional strength considerably, the child ignoring manipulative sources of education and entertainment gains clarity and solidarity in their thoughts, your high-school murderer might just be a regular ‘Steve’ who takes a general role in society, or becomes a revolutionary, there’s really no predicting their path from so little information…
In every case, the world is refreshed as power is gained for the individual exercising change, and that impact flows outwards, the effect replicating exponentially, affecting potentially innumerable lives over time.
Ultimately, this is your decision to make.
Whatever holds you back, if you can admit to yourself this is the case, and understand why the slightest betterment of yourself means everything to you and everyone around you, then you’re possibly on the verge of taking your next steps towards a greatness of which you’ve never dreamed!!
If so, then please keep in mind these three things:
personal growth happens in increments; be patient, and don’t panic because you’re still figuring things out, or struggling with problems from a past which no longer exists
massive growth may still occur, so just be ready to believe it when it hits
your evolution can inspire others, a power which can never be underestimated when changing the world, which is inevitable at this rate
There’s no sense in resisting the transformation now, either way.
If you didn’t recognize your value before, if you didn’t see the substantial weight behind your every decision—substantial relative to the living experiences of yourself and all those directly or indirectly affected by you— then now nothing is the same.
You don’t have to act right away. In fact, I might recommend forgetting all about this article. But keep the feeling. It’s all that really matters.
I appreciate you, take care.
Sincerely,
G

You're one of the good ones.
This piece was a feeling, and I will be hanging onto that. I watched Grizzly Man last night, which feels relevant, it's Spring here, so there's baby bush hens everywhere and I've just read an article explaining that if it wasn't for lichen, we wouldn't be here.
